Atlanta Maternity Photographer | Ashley in the studio

When Ashley contacted me to schedule her maternity session in the studio, she let me know she was including her niece. I let her know I had lots of dress options for them both, and we scheduled their fitting to take place two weeks before their session. The fitting was lots of fun, and Ashley was a bit overwhelmed by all of the choices! She fell in love with two of the dresses and her niece absolutely loved one of the little girl dresses in our wardrobe too which was a perfect complement to both of the dresses that Ashley had choices. Her niece saw one of the flower crowns we keep in the studio and eagerly asked if she could wear it. The answer was, "Yes, of course!" We also talked about what her husband should wear, and I gave her specific examples and color palette ideas. Husbands can always bring multiple options from their closet and I'll help choose the best one the day of the session. 

On the day of the session, Ashley drove an hour from Cumming, Georgia and arrived with her husband and niece and we got started. Most of my clients are a bit nervous when we first begin shooting, and are worried they won't know what to do or will somehow mess things up. This doesn't need to be a concern of yours! It's my job to take care of things for you, and I will guide you the entire time as needed. Come in and plan to relax and have FUN! Your maternity session should be one of the happiest and best memories of your pregnancy, and even though you may not feel this way: you are beautiful. Trust me!

Atlanta Newborn Photographer | Baby H, 10 days new

This sweet little girl joined me in the studio for her newborn session when she was 10 days old. Her mom had contacted me a few months before her due date and scheduled her session, so I was looking forward to meeting their family! Big brother was such an adorable little guy and thrilled to participate. He loved helping himself to snacks from the studio snack basket available to clients. 

When mom arrived for their session, she had brought a selection of her own clothing and we went through it to choose what she should wear. She spied a dress in the studio wardrobe that she fell in love with, and elected to wear it for a portion of the session. I so loved working with this family! Atlanta Maternity Photographer | Kisha

You may recognize Kisha from my short video about the studio experience. She was kind enough to participate in the video for me in advance of her actual maternity session. Kisha scheduled her session to take place when she was 30 weeks pregnant, and it was the perfect timing. I like to schedule maternity sessions for between 30-34 weeks, since most expectant mothers are showing well, but are still able to move well. I have had other clients reserve last minute sessions, but there's always a risk of going into labor early before the session takes place! 

Kisha came to the studio in advance of her session start time for our resident HMUA, Margaret, to apply her makeup. Many of my clients add on Margaret's services to their maternity and/or newborn sessions, and her application is absolutely flawless. If you're interested in booking Margaret's services along with your session, be sure to note that when you inquire. 

I always enjoy studio sessions since my clients get to play dress up with the studio wardrobe. I have a wide array of dresses ranging from size 0-16 that look stunning on expectant and new moms. Kisha already felt absolutely stunning with her makeup application, and loved the dresses that we chose for her to wear. I loved working with Kisha, and can't wait to meet her sweet baby girl in a couple of months.
